Efficacy of the Project Futures ModelThis study is the first identified randomized experiment to evaluate a post-secondary support program for enrolled college students with foster care backgrounds and mental health challenges. Analysis showed evidence of intervention impact on important targeted outcomes at post-intervention and/or 6-month follow-up, including self-determination, career-related self-efficacy and career exploration activities, and mental health self-efficacy and empowerment. |

This webinar will explore the impact stress has on learning and behavior. We will learn about the human stress response system and different ways it manages stress. We will also process through the four modes of human regulation and ways to promote them in the learning environment.
A growing body of research has begun to change understandings of how toxic environments can affect young people, particularly African American boys and young men. In this webinar, we hear about risk and protective factors for youth exposed to poverty, racism, and violence, and about how research, policy, and practice can incorporate these lessons.
Research shows that participation in Career Technical Education (CTE) coursework in high school provides opportunities to improve the otherwise poor employment and post-secondary outcomes of learners with serious mental health conditions. The webinar describes opportunities for engaging learners in high school CTE to help them prepare for high-wage, high-skill, in-demand employment opportunities or participation in post-secondary education.
Two short videos focus on caring for adolescents’ behavioral/mental health via telehealth. These videos highlight some unique opportunities and considerations related to addressing adolescent substance use in a telehealth environment, as well as addressing suicide risk in a telehealth environment.
